Jp's tattoo journey began at age 12 in his hometown of Havana, Cuba, where tattooing was illegal. Despite the risks, his passion for art drove him to pursue tattooing as a career. At 16, he started seeking mentors to learn the craft. In 2006, he arrived in the U.S. without money or English skills, starting his professional tattooing career in 2008. Despite facing homelessness and job loss, Jp persevered, becoming a multi-award-winning artist in just ten years. His black and grey masterpieces have graced magazines, internet channels, and popular tattoo social media accounts.
